Absorbing Aerosols Workshop Report Now Available

Published: 20 August 2016

CaptureAn Absorbing Aerosols Workshop held January 20 to 21 in Germantown, Maryland, brought together distinguished atmospheric scientists funded by the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE’s) Atmospheric System Research (ASR) program to identify knowledge gaps in modeling and measurement of the effects of absorbing aerosols on radiative forcing.
Throughout the workshop, the emphasis was on how DOE’s Office of Biological and Environmental Research ASR program and Atmospheric Radiation Measurement (ARM) Climate Research Facility can best utilize their synergies.
The report from the workshop is now available on the BER website, and provides a unique, in-depth look at the current state of aerosol science, and proposes key research activities.
