Arctic Implementation and Status of the New AMF3 Raman Lidar System

Description

A new Raman lidar system that will become a component of AMF3 is currently under development. It is functionally equivalent to the SGP and TWP (Darwin) systems, and it uses the same laser, optical, and electronic components and configurations as those systems, enabling use of the same data acquisition and analysis codes. The primary design and implementation challenges of this new system are related to its integration into AMF3, and the arctic environmental factors introduced by its initial deployment at the NSA Oliktok Point site (planned for September 2014). This poster will describe the new system, and summarize its current status.
