Description

In order to meet the needs of the next generation ARM Climate Research Facility, the ARM website (www.arm.gov) will undergo a redesign in 2015. Managed by three national laboratories—Pacific Northwest, Brookhaven, and Oak Ridge—the ARM website is a complex, database driven website with a robust 20-year history. In 2005, the information pages of the website were integrated with the ARM Data Archive to provide seamless integration of two separate websites and easier access to data availability. The next major redesign occurred in 2010 when the Atmospheric System Research website was launched and the ARM website needed to reflect the synergy between the two programs. Now, with the creation of the ARM megasites and the venture into large-scale eddy simulations, the ARM website content needs to match the new directions of the Facility. In addition, users have shared the desire for a streamlined, easier to navigate website, which will also be addressed with the redesign. This poster will share the planned changes with the user community and invite them to provide additional comments on the new directions and an opportunity to ask what other changes users would like to see.
