Description

The past year has seen changes in the status of all three ARM Raman lidar systems. The SGP system, which has been operational at that site since September 1995, has undergone a major facelift, with new enclosures developed that improve the thermal stability of the system and enhance its transportability for future redeployments at other locations. As of January 14, 2016, it is again fully operational at its new location adjacent to the radar systems at the Central Facility. The former TWP system, which was operational at Darwin, Australia from December 2010 – December 2014, became operational at its new home at the ENA site in the Azores on September 4, 2015. The Raman lidar at the NSA site at Oliktok Point, Alaska became operational in September 2014, where it is a component of the AMF3 facility, but it has been plagued by ongoing laser problems. All three systems are functionally equivalent, using the same laser, optical, and electronic components and configurations, and thus enabling use of the same data acquisition and analysis codes. This poster will provide an up-to-date report on the status of all three systems.
