The Atmospheric Radiation Measurement (ARM)/Atmospheric System Research (ASR) Joint User Facility/Principal Investigator Meeting (Joint PI Meeting) brings together the ASR Program and the ARM Climate Research Facility as world leaders in climate science. This meeting brings together nearly 350 ASR researchers and ARM Facility users and infrastructure members to review progress and plan future directions for ASR research and ARM user facility. In addition, this meeting enables the ASR Program and the ARM Facility to maintain its status as world leaders in climate research. The 2016 ARM/ASR Joint Meeting will be held May 2 to 5, 2016, at the Sheraton, Tysons Corner, Virginia.
The general meeting sessions will begin on Monday, May 2, with topical breakout session meetings. Tuesday and Wednesday will feature plenary sessions that include presentations by U.S. Department of Energy program managers, reports from ARM and ASR on research progress, scientific presentations by ASR principal investigators and ARM Facility users, and tutorial sessions on how to use the ARM Facility. Poster sessions will be held both Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons to review research results. Thursday morning and early afternoon will be devoted primarily to breakout sessions addressing priority science and facility topics. General meeting sessions will end by 4:00 PM on Thursday, May 5.
