Tenure-Track Position Assistant Professor-Meteorology/Atmospheric Science

The Department of Earth Sciences in the College of Science and Technology at Millersville University welcomes applications for the position of full-time, tenure-track assistant professor of meteorology/atmospheric science. Responsibilities include teaching courses for undergraduate meteorology majors, among them foundational courses in atmospheric science and courses in boundary layer/turbulence, instruments and measurements of atmospheric parameters, and statistical applications in the earth sciences. Additional responsibilities include ongoing professional/scholarly activity and service to the department and university.  Other responsibilities may include teaching general education introductory courses for non-science majors, and engaging students in field research. Actual teaching assignments will depend upon department needs. Faculty are expected, per the Collective Bargaining Agreement, to engage in professional responsibilities such as curriculum development and update; learning outcomes assessment for courses and programs; and participation in department, college, and university meetings and workshops. Departmental expectations include helping to strengthen the collaborations between our meteorology program and other programs on campus, as well as with other universities, institutions, agencies, and stakeholders.
