The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Science recently announced a call for the Advanced Scientific Computing Research (ASCR) Leadership Computing Challenge (ALCC) 2021-2022 allocation year.

The mission of the ALCC is to support projects of interest to DOE with an emphasis on high-risk, high-payoff simulations in areas directly related to the DOE mission, that respond to national emergencies, and for broadening the community of researchers capable of using leadership computing resources.

ALCC grants one-year awards, which are active from July 1 to June 30 of the following calendar year. For a listing of 2020-2021 awarded projects, see Current Awards. For awards from previous years, see Past Awards.

Pre-proposals are due January 4, 2021, at 5 p.m. (Eastern Time). For more information and to learn how to submit a pre-proposal, see the ALCC announcement.
