The 2011 Workshop on Far-Infrared Remote Sensing (FIRS) will be held in Madison, Wisconsin, on November 8-9, 2011. The two-day meeting will include invited speakers, a full poster session, time for discussions, and a workshop dinner. Topics to be discussed include: instrumentation, radiative transfer model development and validation, thermodynamic profiling, cloud property remote sensing, and climate studies.
Attendees are invited to participate in the workshop by submitting a poster presentation. There are a limited number of oral presentation positions available; these will be selected from the submitted poster presentations. Registration deadline is October 6, 2011.
