The Quantifying the Indirect Effect: from Sources to Climate Effects of Natural and Transported aerosol in the Arctic (QuIESCENT) workshop aims to gather polar atmospheric and marine scientists, experimentalists and modelers, physicists and chemists, to exchange knowledge and work together to establish a coordinated plan on how to address critical research questions related to the relative role of anthropogenic air pollution vs the role of marine aerosols in the Arctic cloud lifecycle. Apart from the Arctic scientific community, participation by Antarctic and Southern Ocean scientists is strongly encouraged to provide insights to the aerosol-cloud-precipitation processes that govern the Southern counterpart. In the spirit of the first two QuIESCENT workshops, participation by early career scientists is strongly encouraged.

The QuIESCENT Arctic Workshop will take place as a hybrid event at the EPFL in Lausanne, Switzerland.
