Description

From the beginning of the planning for AMF2 the ARM Program envisaged deploying a mobile facility on a ship. Shipboard deployment presents many challenges compared to a land based one in terms of choice of instruments, data collection strategy and the routine collection of any needed supplemental data- for instance pitch and roll. These challenges needed to be considered when the AMF2 was installed on the Spirit Horizon and collected data for most of a year for the Marine ARM GPCI Investigation of Clouds (MAGIC). Subsequent to collecting the data, considerable effort has been expended in post processing by the ARM Infrastructure staff. This poster provides a summary of the instruments deployed, the status of each instruments post processing needs and a presentation of the development and status of all relevant VAPS.
