Postdoctoral Researcher – LES Modeling of Aerosol-Cloud Brightening

We invite you to apply for a 3-year postdoctoral position in large-eddy simulation of aerosol-cloud interactions. Within the broad scope of marine cloud brightening for solar radiation management, you will be free to set your own scientific emphasis. One possible research direction includes perturbed-parameter ensembles.

In addition to close collaboration with Stephan de Roode and Franziska Glassmeier, you will be part of our lively aerosol-cloud brightening research team (6 staff members, 2 postdocs, 2 PhD students). You will be embedded in a collaborative project with the Center for Climate Repair at Cambridge University that is supported by the Refreeze the Arctic Foundation. In addition to an exciting research project with international collaborators, and a friendly and stimulating work environment, we can offer generous funds for scientific travel.
