Postdoctoral Scholar- Aerosol-Climate Group

15 August 2023 - 30 October 2023

The Aerosol-Climate research group at the University of California – Merced is looking for a self-motivated and highly-qualified postdoctoral researcher to work on a DOE-funded project aimed at understanding the interactions between mineral dust aerosols, clouds, and precipitation. The candidate should be driven and have demonstrated the ability to conduct independent scientific research. The candidate is expected to work on conducting climate model simulations (e.g., using single-column models, large-eddy simulations, and regional/global models) and analyzing model outputs and observational datasets to address the objectives of the project. Additional responsibilities may also include supervising undergraduate and graduate students’ research work, contributing to the preparation of grant proposals, leading peer-reviewed publications, and presenting the research in various workshops and conferences.
