Postdoctoral Appointee – Aerosol and Microdroplet Chemistry

Sandia National Laboratories is seeking a Postdoctoral Appointee to support research and development efforts in our analytical chemistry laboratories on projects related to bioaerosol fate and microdroplet chemistry. This is an opportunity to collaborate on high-impact projects with researchers across Sandia, the Center for Integrated Nanotechnologies, and multiple academic institutions. Our analytical laboratories employ an expansive suite of gas, liquid, and solid analytical tools (GC, GC/MS, LC/PDA, UPLC/MS, DART/MS, IC, GPC, ICP/MS, ICP/OES, LECO, LIBS) to solve problems and further fundamental understanding of materials interactions. The Analytical Science and Corrosion department is part of the Material, Physical, and Chemical Sciences Center (Center 1800). Center 1800 more broadly supports Sandia’s mission by assisting in the prediction of performance and reliability of materials, developing/processing new materials through computation and synthesis, and the development of novel characterization and diagnostic tools and approaches. The selected individual will be encouraged to collaborate in this multi-disciplinary environment and to plan and execute critical analyses and identify innovative research opportunities.
