In Nainital, India, ASR researchers are participating in the Ganges Valley Aerosol Experiment. This Atmospheric Radiation Measurement (ARM) Mobile Facility campaign is obtaining measurements of clouds, aerosol, precipitation, and radiative energy. Data gathered during this this nine-month deployment will be used by researchers to study how aerosols affect clouds, including the transfer of energy and rainfall.
