The 35th Conference on Radar Meteorology, sponsored by the American Meteorological Society (AMS), will be held September 26-30, 2011, at the Omni William Penn Hotel in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Of particular interest to the Atmospheric System Research (ASR) community is the Short Course on Millimeter Wavelength Radars. Sponsored by the Atmospheric Radiation Measurement (ARM) program, this course is designed to provide students and scientists interested in cloud and precipitation research with a thorough introduction to cloud radars, their capabilities and applications in atmospheric research.
