Description

New ARM.gov website design concept

In February 2025, ARM plans to launch its refreshed external news and information portal, ARM.gov, after more than eight years with the current look. The aim of the refreshed ARM.gov is to meet user needs with an audience-focused design instead of the current news-focused design based on the 2020 usability study and 2023 website satisfaction survey feedback.

Website redesign requirements included implementing the latest best user experience practices and web standards, aligning with U.S. web design standards, creating straightforward navigation for new and potential ARM users, improving search engine optimization with unique page titles, integrating consistent searching capabilities, and adding a new User Program area. The new user program area aims to create a one-stop experience for finding the information and forms needed by a user to engage with the ARM User Facility.

ARM Communications will also share critical information on best practices for image usage, in particular with the ARM and ASR website highlight pages. How to find the Image Guidelines and Resources pages, which help scientists and staff determine whether images can be legally used for research highlights, project pages, posters, or presentations, will be demonstrated.
