Description

The Roll/Pitch/Heave (RPH) and Roll/Pitch/Yaw (RPY) stable platforms developed for ship-based operations were operated during the MAGIC campaign, in particular the RPH was used as the platform from which the MWACR was operated. Overall, the performance of the RPH was excellent, with pitch and roll excursions maximum excursions generally less than 0.1 deg. Summary statistics from each leg of MAGIC are given and high resolution samples of the operating characteristics illustrated. Details of the controlling algorithm(s) are also described.
