Leadership Position for Atmospheric System Research at DOE

Updated July 21, 2011: BER is now considering hiring an Intergovernmental Personnel Act (IPA) employee from a university for this position. A background in cloud physics/dynamics and cloud-aerosol interactions is preferred. Anyone interested in this position should contact Gary Geernaert at their earliest convenience.
DOE’s Office of Biological and Environmental Research will be opening the management position for ASR very soon. An announcement will be posted on the Office of Personnel Management website and will also be accessible from the DOE website, as well as here. According to new federal rules, this announcement will be posted for only 10 days (previous announcements were open longer). This will be a federal position at GS-14 or GS-15, depending upon qualifications. The duty location will be in Germantown, Maryland.
